IDEATHON’25

IDEATHON’25 was run by the Institution’s Innovation Council and the R&D Cell with JFII, as a platform for students across disciplines to put forward workable answers to real problems — with the emphasis on originality, feasibility and impact.

Entries ran through abstract submission, a detailed proposal and a final presentation. Ideas were judged on logical flow, analytical reasoning, innovativeness and clarity of presentation. Plagiarism meant immediate disqualification. Participation was free for all SDUAHER students.

Themes were set around healthcare need: artificial intelligence in healthcare, waste management, edtech for remote learning, affordable healthcare devices, minimally invasive surgery, telemedicine in prenatal and general care, early detection of cancers, and access to insulin delivery systems.

The first round ran on 22 July 2025 in the Dr B C Roy AV Hall with 17 teams, judged by Dr Karthik S, Mrs Geetha and Mr Franklin John. The best five went through to the second round on 26 July before external judges.

First prize went to Nanomembrane, by Dr Disha Kakkar and Dr Brijmohan; second to Walolution, by Ms G Sneha and team; third to Cervilift, by Ms Poojitha. Prizes were ₹3,000, ₹2,000 and ₹1,000, with certificates for every participant.
